About Prsona

An operator-built AI sales tool.

Prsona is an AI cold email and prospect intelligence Chrome extension built by Dalton Carroll, currently Ops Manager at BluShark Digital, an SEO agency. Born from spending 40% of every workday on prospect research and email drafting that should have taken 10% — and looking at every existing tool in the category and finding none that actually solved the per-rep workflow at a price a small team could afford.

Why this exists

The first version of Prsona shipped because every existing AI cold email tool in 2024 was either built for $200/seat enterprise sales engagement (Outreach, Salesloft) or built for $500/month cold email infrastructure (Instantly, Smartlead). There was no $30/seat tool that actually generated personalized outreach grounded in the prospect's real page content. Templates with variable insertion were not personalization; they were variable insertion.

The category needed a per-rep Chrome extension that read the prospect's actual content, generated a personalized email in the team's configured brand voice, and stayed out of the way of whatever sequencing or sending infrastructure the team already had. Prsona is that.

What Prsona is honestly

Prsona is a Chrome extension that turns a prospect's LinkedIn profile into a personalized cold email or message in the team's brand voice. Director configures the voice once at /settings; every rep's next AI generation follows it. Each rep can layer a personal voice on top. The structured prospect record (name, role, company, recent activity, conversation hooks) is captured on extraction, with a one-click save to the team dashboard.

What Prsona is not:

  • Not a sales engagement platform (no multi-step sequences, no dialer, no Salesforce CRM)
  • Not a contact-data product (we read what's on the page; we don't sell databases of phone numbers)
  • Not a high-volume sending tool (you send through Gmail or Outlook; we generate the draft)
  • Not a LinkedIn automation tool (we read pages on demand; we don't automate connections or messages)
  • Not yet SOC 2 Type II certified (audit-ready, in progress)

The founder

Dalton Carroll. Currently Ops Manager at BluShark Digital, an SEO agency based in the US. Founded Prsona in early 2026 after a year of evaluating B2B sales tools internally for BluShark's outbound operations and finding none that actually worked at the per-rep workflow level for the kind of small-to-mid-market team most B2B companies actually look like.

Pre-Prsona experience: B2B sales operations, marketing operations, and partner programs at multiple SaaS and agency companies. Holds a degree in Marketing. Background as practitioner before founder — the product is built from the inside of the workflow it serves, not from outside studying it.

Editorial standards (locked)

Every page on this site is written under the same standards as the long-form resources. The rules are simple:

  1. No fabricated stats. Every percentage, customer count, or growth claim is either sourced or hedged with “industry estimates”-style framing. We have ~0 customers as of May 2026; we don't claim “trusted by 500+ teams” because that would be a lie.
  2. No fabricated testimonials. Until we have real customer quotes that customers consent to using, the site has no testimonials section. The temptation to invent them is real; resisting it is the standard.
  3. No plagiarism. Every page is written from scratch. Competitor content is read for fact-check purposes only — never for outline or copy reuse. If you find a passage you've seen elsewhere, flag it and we'll rewrite within 24 hours.
  4. No AI slop. Calm declarative tone, no “in today's fast-paced sales landscape,” no manufactured urgency, no em-dash overuse. If a sentence doesn't earn its place, it gets cut.
  5. No claims about features marked coming-soon. Things that are roadmap stay on the roadmap. Things shipped get marketed.

Where we are today (honestly)

  • Product live at www.prsona.io with billing, brand voice, AI generation, prospect extraction all functional
  • Chrome extension v1.4.0 packaged, pending Web Store re-submission
  • 87+ database migrations shipped covering security hardening, billing correctness, audit logs
  • Approximately $300/month in infrastructure and tooling spend
  • Solo founder, no outside investment, margin-funded growth plan

The complete strategic plan (revenue path, hiring sequence, funding stance) is documented internally and not part of the public site. The honest version of today: we're a real product without real customers yet, written about by the operator who built it. The volume of content on this site exists to drive organic traffic that becomes the first set of real customers.
